Tomb Raider Film Sequel Nabs Director & Release Date

Ben Wheatley has been confirmed as the director for the sequel to 2018's "Tomb Raider" and a release date of March 19th, 2021 is set for the film. Ben Wheatley's films include Free Fire, Kill List, and Rebecca. He should have a very interesting take on our heroine. Amy Jump is writing the script. Alicia Vikander is Lara Croft. Filming should start next year.

Also, new images of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft have surfaced online from the first film and fans are going wild over them.

Tomb Raider Movie Trailer 2 Drops the Mic!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!! I CAN'T EVEN!!! I am so pumped for this movie after this adrenaline pumping trailer! Sit back and behold the epic wonder of the island, the electrifying score, and and fierceness of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft herself! I love the incorporation of an amazing rendition of Destiny's Child's song "Survivor"! Very well done.

Many big names dropped articles along with the trailer this morning, including VOGUE and GQ. The new trailer and Tomb Raider in general went global, trending at an astonishing #7 on Twitter. The number of outlets running this trailer is absolutely astounding. Looks like Lara is back on top of her multimedia empire once again!

Tomb Raider Movie Promotion Begins

Promotion for the new Tomb Raider film has officially hit the ground rolling with the release of an intense new poster, breathtaking magazine covers, and Alicia Vikander herself kicking off the press tour in Brazil.
