1501012_487810828004215_96420196_o

Lara Croft: Reflections is a collectible card game currently being tested for iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPad in Australia and New Zealand. The turn-based card game is due for release in other regions in Q1 of 2014. Square Enix Japan (Smile Lab) and RenRen Games are producing the title. The game is more of a side story featuring classic Lara Croft and does not directly relate to the main Tomb Raider reboot. More news to come next year.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Revealed

This is super exciting! Tomb Raider (2013) has been re-vamped for next generation consoles! Discover more about it below and pre-order yours today!

From: Official Tomb Raider Blog

"Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was developed in tandem with our friends over at United Front Games and Nixxes, who worked with core Crystal Dynamics team members and assets to rebuild Tomb Raider from the ground up for next-gen consoles.

The team didn’t simply up-rez the game, they pulled it apart and rebuilt it with obsessive detail and new technology, finally allowing us to reach a vision for the game that we always wanted. Now in native 1080P with TressFX hair rendering and a next-gen Lara model, you’ll get the following in Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition:
  • The fully rebuilt game for next-generation consoles
  • The Tomb of the Lost Adventurer
  • Eight DLC multiplayer maps
  • Six DLC multiplayer weapons
  • Four DLC multiplayer characters
  • Six outfits for Lara
  • Dark Horse digital comic book “Tomb Raider: The Beginning”
  • Brady Games digital art book “Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival”
  • “The Final Hours of Tomb Raider” documentary series
As for other next-gen additions, The Xbox One allows you to use Kinect to change weapons, attachments, and navigate the menu with your voice. You can also rotate and inspect relics with hand gestures, and find new viewpoints by leaning into the world. The PlayStation 4’s Dualshock 4 controller lights up red and orange when using the torch, and quick flashes when Lara is shooting. The PlayStation 4 version also allows you to stream Tomb Raider to the PlayStation Vita."...

..."Preorder Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition with select retailers today to receive art book packaging featuring never before seen concept art.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition launches in North America on January 28 and across Europe on January 31, 2014."

Darrell Gallagher, Head of Product Development and Studios, released this official statement below:

“Hi - you may have read today that a next-generation sequel to Tomb Raider is in the works. We’re very excited to confirm that the team has started working on telling the next chapter in Lara’s tale. It’s still early days, so I’m afraid I can’t provide any further details for now save my assurance that we’re not resting on our laurels and acclaim from Tomb Raider’s recent successes, but working hard to raise the bar even higher and re-affirm the faith you’ve shown.”

Gail Simone Writing New Tomb Raider Comic Series

Did you hear the news out of SDCC? We’re extremely excited to announce that famed comic book scribe Gail Simone will be taking lead on the Tomb Raider comics, published in partnership with Dark Horse. Simone has worked on an array of popular titles, including Birds of Prey, Deadpool, Wonder Woman, and Batgirl. This isn’t Simone’s first foray with Lara, however. She wrote one of our favorite episodes of GameTap’s Re\Visioned tribute to Tomb Raider, “Pre-Teen Raider.”

HOB Salon Offers Official Lara Croft Hairstyle!

HOB Salon in the UK is offering up an official Tomb Raider hairstyle!

From The Tomb Raider Blog:

"Want lovely layers like Lara? You’re in luck! UK-based HOB Salon just revealed a new style inspired by Lara Croft’s look in Tomb Raider.

“The Lara” is all about simplicity - comprised of a loose ponytail with lots of layers. The natural and low-maintenance look was added to the books after a slew of customer requests, says HOB.

“The new Lara Croft has featured heavily on advertising all across London, most notably on the buses!” said Claire Atkinson, HOB Salons’ Expert Stylist and Creative Team member. “Clearly she’s made quite an impact as we’ve had so many customers ask us to replicate that look that it made sense to make it an official HOB style.”

As such, HOB is rolling out the look in all 24 of their salons, with special instructions for stylists detailing how to recreate the hairstyle for clients."
