Rise of the Tomb Raider Pre-Order Incentives Announced

The pre-order packs have been announced for Rise of the Tomb Raider during the recent Gamescom event held in Cologne, Germany. The packs contain unique outfits, weapons, and a new element: special cards that alter stats in the game. More on the card packs to be revealed at a later time. Check out what is offered at specific North American retailers and a special UK pack below. A larger list of offerings will be available in the future.

 

The Apex Predator Pack (GameStop Exclusive in North America)
Includes:
•The all-new Apex Predator outfit for Lara, with patchwork clothing made of bear fur, animal claws, and scraps of cloth. A dried bloody hand print across Lara’s face completes this intimidating look. The Apex Predator outfit also reduces damage inflicted by animals
•The upgradeable Python Hand Cannon, which offers incredible stopping power

Rise of the Tomb Raider @ Gamescom

 

Gamescom revealed a lengthy look at stealth combat and even a glimpse into the various tombs in the video above. They're calling it The Rise of Player Choice, where you choose how you play the game ultimately making it your own individual experience. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous screenshots below while we wait for the game's release on November 10th.

 

Lara Croft Comic Book Mini Series Announced

Dark Horse has announced a new comic book mini series set in the "Lara Croft" universe. The first of the five issue series titled "Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen" will hit shelves October 7th, 2015. Read the full article and an interview with the writer here.

Square Enix Announces Rise of the Tomb Raider Multi-Platform Release

New details have emerged about the Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusivity deal. From The Official Tomb Raider Blog:

"Square Enix today announced its latest title in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, will be available for Steam and Windows 10 PC in early 2016. The game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch, coming to PlayStation 4 Holiday 2016. Renowned developer Crystal Dynamics, a Square Enix studio, is leading development in the latest entry in the iconic series for additional platforms."
