The celebrations have officially kicked off for the 25 Years of Tomb Raider! From the surprises that were revealed today, it looks as though the developers and community as whole have a lot of fun planned for us all. Tomb Raider Anime Series Coming To Netflix

 

Netflix along with Legendary Television have announced a Tomb Raider anime series is coming to the streaming platform. The series will be written and directed by Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Red Sonja) and will pick up right after the Reboot Trilogy. I cannot wait to see where these new adventures take Lara as the 25 Years of Tomb Raider Celebration kicks off! #TR25

ChaNerd Created a Superb Collector's Edition of Lara Croft: Relic Run

ChaNerd has created the Lara Croft: Relic Run Oni Edition and boy is it a beauty! The attention to detail is absolutely astounding and the special items are gorgeous! This looks like an official release and how I wish it was!

The Oni Edition includes the game, a lithograph, art book, Lara's diary, an Oni Demon mask plaque, and even the full soundtrack! (Which I have been trying to find for ages..)

Square Enix Reveals Tomb Raider Reloaded

 

Square Enix has surprised all of us fans with the announcement of Tomb Raider Reloaded! A brand new action-arcade game coming to iOS and Android in 2021. Emerald City Games is developing the game and Square Enix London Mobile is the publisher. Crystal Dynamics is involved, but only to ensure the experience is Tomb Raider worthy. It looks like Tomb Raider Reloaded will have some kind of soft launch in specific territories before the full release. Keep it locked and loaded here on MaxRaider for more information as it unfolds.

Square Enix Posts Classic Tomb Raider Anniversaries

Square Enix has recently posted anniversary updates of both Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III on their social channels. Could this be hinting at remasters of the classic games that the fandom so desperately wishes for? With the Video Game Awards coming up in December and Tomb Raider IV and V anniversaries on the horizon, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for an announcement...

Weta Workshop Reveals Art for Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary Statue

 This month marks the 24th anniversary of the original Tomb Raider back in 1996 and Weta Workshop has given us quite a surprise! Behold the art of the statue that is to come next year in celebration of 25 years of Tomb Raider! This piece is epic and I'm sure the finished product will do our heroine justice! 

Gaming Heads Reveals Rise of the Tomb Raider Statue

Gaming Heads have revealed the latest statue in their 20 Years of Tomb Raider Collection. This statue celebrates the reboot era with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Lara donning her snow gear from the beginning of the game. She stands over 20" tall and is available in three different editions. The Regular Edition, the Exclusive Edition, and the Collective Edition.

The Exclusive Edition is limited to 500 pieces and includes interchangeable arms with dual axes and glow stick as well as the option of Lara wearing her beanie and goggles.

Lara Croft and Tomb Raider Social Media Outlets Merge

 

The Lara Croft and Tomb Raider Brand pages have ran separately for some time now on social media. The Lara Croft Brand promoting the smaller classic styled games and the Tomb Raider Brand promoting the AAA main series games.

Now all of the social media outlets have merged under the single brand that is Tomb Raider. This is very interesting considering the Lara Croft outlets haven't posted anything since 2017. There's a lot to speculate on here. Could there be a new game announcement coming soon? Perhaps the fabled Tomb Raider Ultimate Experience aka T.R.U.E. that has been floating around the internet will actually come...true? Or the brand could be trying to limit confusion by streamlining their social media presence. We will have to wait and see.

Weta Workshop Teases New Tomb Raider Anniversary Statue

During a Comic Con @ Home special, Weta Workshop teased that they are working on a brand new Lara Croft statue...and it's based on Tomb Raider: Anniversary! What a surprise! I can't wait to see the finished piece!

Weta gives some details:

"Paying homage to the 25^th anniversary of Lara Croft, our sculptors have been busy tackling one of the most courageous characters ever...

Strap in for a jaw snapping ride with our upcoming Tomb Raider: Anniversary sculpt.

Hold tight till October to see the whole piece, in all it’s 1:4 scale glory."

Tomb Raider X Animal Crossing

The developers over at Crystal Dynamics have done it again in creating iconic outfits for Animal Crossing: New Horizons! The devs were inspired by the passionate fans re-creating their favorite Tomb Raider outfits in the game. The Classic, Angel of Darkness, and Tomb Raider 2013 designs can be accessed via The Official Tomb Raider Blog. Fans from all around the globe have created great outfit designs so be on the lookout.
